New Pets
Lunenburg Animal Hospital knows how exciting it is when you get a new pet. However, with a new pet comes new vaccine scheduling and examinations to ensure your pet is healthy.
We have provided you a schedule to follow to help you get your new pet off on the right foot.
New Puppy
- 6 weeks: Wellness exam, DHPPC, fecal, deworming
- 9 weeks: 2nd DHPPC; heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention
- 12 weeks: DHLPP, Bordetella
- 15 weeks: DHLPP, Rabies, Lyme
- 18 weeks: Lyme booster
- 6 months: Spay or neuter
New Adult Dog
- Wellness exam, DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies, fecal, deworming, heartworm test; for our area we also recommend a Lyme, Influenza; heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention
- Booster vaccines in 3 weeks
New Kitten
- 6 weeks: FVRCP, fecal, deworming
- 9 weeks: Combo test for feline leukemia and AIDS, leukemia vaccination, 2nd FVRCP; heartworm, flea and tick prevention
- 12 weeks: 2nd leukemia vaccine, bordetella
- 15 weeks: Rabies, FIP
- 6 months: spay or neuter
New Adult Cat
- Wellness exam, combo test, FVRCP, FIV, Bordetella, Rabies, fecal, deworming; heartworm, flea and tick prevention
- Boost vaccines in 3 weeks
